Here we go again!
“Blogging.” This sounds like an old person word in 2020. But back in 2008, it was all the rage! I gladly jumped on the train with all of my 22 year old energy. What I discovered was a hobby I really enjoyed and a way to share my story with others.
The train slowly came to a stop sometime after I had my 3rd child in 2017. Not only were blogs less of a thing in general, but I found myself drawn less to the computer to write. I really should blog again was the thought I had multiple times over the last few years, but it just didn’t happen.
As I look back, I recognize that this was what needed to happen. Not only do I see that my energy was needed elsewhere, but I also see that the exact time I stopped blogging was the exact time I started sharing my music for the first time online. Instead of being drawn to the computer, I was drawn to the piano to write and record clips of my songs. I was at this point where I had decided I can’t just keep these songs in a notebook anymore.
So - this place, right here, is for all of it. For blogging and for music.
This time around, the blogging will look a little different. You won’t find any weekend updates or letters to my kids or sponsored posts or information about the magic of Babywise. (Although I’m still very happy to sing Babywise’s praises for anyone who has questions. A content baby who loves to sleep is a wonderful thing!) But, similar to my last blog, you will find what I’m learning about God, myself, and my relationships. You’ll hear stories about my life, my family, and my people.
And along with all of that, I plan to talk more about my music. I want to let you in on the songwriting process and tell the stories behind my songs as I gradually release them into the world.
So almost 12 years after I pressed “publish” on my first blog post ever, I’m back. Here we go again!
I’d love for you to join me.
